He missed nearly all of his senior season due to an achilles injury, which caused some schools to back off of him, but he previously held offers from Ball State, Toledo, Western Michigan and had interest from Michigan State, Iowa, Cincinnati and a host of other schools.

Falcons assistant coach Jim Kelly has spent a lot of time with Jackson, both as his coach and mentor, taking him from camp to camp.
"The road wasn't easy, but he couldn't be more happy with his decision," Kelly said, "He gets to play with his best buddy Andrew Longo and to him, GVSU is the same as Michigan. He's never been a big schoool guy, to him, it's all the same. He's going to be close to home and they're ecstatic to have him and they took care of him financially."
GVReport will have more on Jackson in the near future.
