One player who made huge strides in the offseason is CB Chris Huley, who will lock down one cornerback spot in the Laker defense.
A former running back, LB Matt Fluter has bulked up but showed he still had the speed this offseason. He is currently one of the team’s better linebackers in coverage.
True freshman Chris Crawford can play a number of positions, but has been working out mostly at wide receiver. Crawford had a great prep career at Muskegon and his speed and open field ability should fit well in GVSU’s wide open attack.
