GVSU Works for Hobbs

Midwest Regional Manager
Posted Dec 12, 2011

Sanford Meridian (Mich.) senior OL Cameron Hobbs talks about his commitment to Grand Valley State.

Sanford Meridian's Cameron Hobbs was one of the first verbal commitments for Grand Valley State this year and the 6'5, 250-lb offensive lineman says he felt the most comfortable in Allendale.

"I the reason I picked GVSU is because of the coaches, the other guys on the team, and the way the campus is set up. Everything just works for me."

Hobbs was a standout on the offensive and defensive line for Meridian. He also was an All-Conference basketball player last year, but the Lakers plan to use him at only one spot.

"I will be playing offensive line, but I don't know where at yet. I won't be seeing the field until maybe my sophomore or junior year."

Hobbs is one of four current verbal commitments for the Lakers.
